Like many other businesses in the Harrogate District, I have taken attended a number of the ‘Le Tour Yorkshire’ roadshows which have been organised in the lead up to the race weekend. These have been designed to help businesses find out more about how we can prepare ourselves logistically to welcome the largest sporting event the region has ever seen. A free or discounted studio shoot may sound like a fantastic way of capturing those special moments and can also be a tempting gift from a friend or relative. However, the reality is that some more unscrupulous studios then make up the lost revenue by selling parents expensive photo packages after the event, often using overly aggressive sales techniques which can leave people feeling pressurised into buying something they can’t afford….

Whilst the World’s press watched and waited, I was busy capturing my own snapshots in history – for a lovely couple and their three month old daughter in Leeds and then later in the week for a family and their three week old son (aptly named George) in a leafy suburb of London….
